About Causeway Cheese
The Causeway Cheese Company was established in 2001 by Damian and Susan McCloskey. Our cheeses are handmade in the village of Loughgiel which is situated approx. 10 miles from the beautiful North Antrim Coast and on the edge of the outstanding Glens of Antrim.
All of our cheeses are hand made to our own individual recipes, ranging from a distinctive mature cheese to cheeses with a touch of Northern Ireland individuality, e.g. cheese with Dulse (a type of seaweed) harvested from the shores of Northern Ireland.
You will find Causeway Cheese scattered around the restaurants and shops around the North Antrim Coast and throughout Northern Ireland.
In fact wherever cheese lovers meet look for Causeway Cheese on the menu!
In all Causeway Cheese currently manufactures a range of five cheeses.
All of the cheeses are named after ancient townlands or place names in and around the village of Loughgiel.
